Right of Way Tech
 

At MVA, we specialize in Acquisition and Relocation Services for Right of Way Projects.

Primary Responsibilities

We are expanding our team and are looking for a new team member that will complement our team in the capacity of a Right of Way Tech. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, trainable and attentive to the teams needs.

The Right of Way Tech will carry out the tasks as listed:

  • Provide back-end support for agents and project managers for project related tasks.

  • Assist team in preparation of offer packages and maintain complete and detailed records/files.

  • Provide Relocation Services to displaced owners and tenants as required by the Uniform Relocation Act.

  • Perform photocopying, scanning and printing assignments.

  • Fulfill duties of other Right of Way Techs, when necessary, on any of their assigned tasks. 

  • Exercise good judgment and discretion, and independently resolve problems and issues relating to administrative functions.

  • Assist Project Managers regarding development of project plans.

  • Maintain and monitor the proper scheduling and completion of QA and QC activities.

  • Create and maintain project quality documents for the life of a project.

  • Maintain the document controls. 

  • Compose and organize materials and reports and maintain records for work performed.

  • Coordinate and manage meeting facilities and arrangements.

  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Type, format and organize project documents, reports, specifications and correspondence.

  • Create and maintain electronic files.

  • Apply company quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project document management.

  • Assist with and help coordinate meetings and presentations.

  • Exhibit professionalism with clients.

  • Work with multiple Project Managers and project teams as needed.

  • Assist with project reviews, and project-specific meetings as needed.

  • Type, revise and combine materials such as correspondence, reports, records, forms, meeting minutes, scientific or technical material, numerical data, and tabular information from rough draft, corrected copy or previous versions.

  • Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format.

  • Provide support for staff as needed, including backup reception duties, answering and directing telephone calls, delivering messages, greeting employees and visitors, scheduling conference calls, and distributing incoming faxes and mail.

  • Complete word processing as needed, including letters, memos, reports, and labels.

  • Provide meeting setup, travel arrangements, light accounting and other miscellaneous tasks/projects as needed.

  • Provide overall project administration and support in the evolution of our projects.

  • Provide broad project assistance for a highly skilled team of cross-sector professionals.

  • Work in an interactive environment with business and technical staff to ensure a high degree of collaboration in support of a successful overall solution.

  • Manage project quality, time and effort measures.

  • Coordinate project team events.

  • Facilitate project agenda and meeting documentation.

  • Support members of the project management office in any manner required.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years related experience.

  • Proficiency with standard technology tools such as Office 365 and related components Adobe, Client based Flairdocs, software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills.

  • Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented.

  • Ability to handle confidential information.

  • High attention to detail, quality and deadlines.

  • Flexible, dependable, multi-tasks and ability to prioritize tasks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Can travel to work in other offices.

  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our team culture is a must.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Must be legally able to work in the United States of America.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree preferred.

  • Local candidates (Seattle, surrounding area) are preferred.
